Fdip279: For Love of Wine and Pizza Part 2

Last week, we loaded ourselves with the ammunition of facts necessary to engage in a verbal battle with those who refuse to accept the premise that running can lead to happiness…but facts alone cannot help us when engaging in a logical argument.  We have to be able to identity our opponents tactics and apply the facts we learned last week in such a say as to minimize the force of their reluctance.

We have to be able to respond to the vast array of logical fallacies that we will encounter while working to convince a non-runner to adopt the running lifestyle.

It’s by recognizing these fallacies that non-runners will make in their list of arguments in opposition to running, that we can carefully nudge them into the realization that, logically speaking: they should in fact consider that what we’re saying is true:

We make the world just a little bit better when we inspire and motivate even just one person to take to the road and become a runner.  The benefits to our physical and mental health along with our pursuit of happiness provide all the truth you need to know when arguing the case for becoming a runner.  Everyone who listens to this episode has been, or will become involved in a discussion with a non-runner about why running is a way to live a better life…and each of us are qualified to have this discussion, and win the argument to exterminate the opposition to lacing up their shoes.
