This year, it’s not something specific to the Boston marathon, but everyone who’s running the race on Patriots Day will appreciate the sentiment, for today I’m going to read for you: a story.
I think you’ll like this story as it is filled with the exact passion that any runner of any ability possesses. It’s the story of a marathon race back before the official length was 26.2 miles.
What you’ll hear is a story of passion, determination and guts in a marathon road race that is very much like the one you may have, or may one day run. It’s a story that demonstrates the importance of experience, the rage against physical limits and the strength…of youth.
